A Mystery Fish Puzzle for you...This Time You Have To Rotate

Postby Yellowstone7 » Thu Jan 27, 2011 1:50 am

Hi Fish Guessers and Everyone:

I am still working on my special outing for you fishfolks. Having a bit of problem with one of the characters in the outing. In the mean time I thought I would make up a "Mystery Fish" puzzle for your entertainment. :P This one is a little harder than the last as you will have to rotate the pieces to get them to fit. You know what? You guys are so good at this sort of thing this shouldn't be a real problem. The fish in the puzzle is a pretty one and I hope you will get to the end of the puzzle, have a hard look, and then tell me what the fish is.

Here the link for the puzzle:

http://www.fileden.com/files/2011/1/26/ ... Rotate.zip

Hope this works as I was having trouble with file uploads on Fileden as Martin did. Please let me know if this link is ok.

Regards,

Stanley

I probably won't join this one, puzzles have never been my favorite. Good luck to everyone :)

Hi Barns:

Still a great time finishing this puzzle. Maybe I made it too difficult? Took me over two hours and with wife's help! As for you guess, Uh Uh... it is not a Yellow Tail Wrasse. The shape of the body, the fins and the tail are different. Please see this picture of the Yellow Tail Wrasse:

Looks like Reelfish will not participate so you will be the Champ again if you get it right. I have a feeling you will get it though.

Stanley

Hi Everyone:

Hmmmm...! I think we might be stuck here. :P I thought I'd post something to help you guys out a little. Here is a GIF and a picture of the "Fish of the Week". Now maybe Reelfish will see this and make a couple of guesses?

Regards,

Stanley

Hi Reelfish, Uncle Barnsie and Fish Guessers:

Congratulations, Reefish for a very accurate guess. This mystery fish is indeed a Schoolmaster. Please see illustration below.

Shows what you can do when you don't have to put a puzzle together. If I am not mistaken you are now neck and neck with Uncle Barnsie for the King Of the Guessing Hill.

Wait till you see what I have in store for your next fish!

Thanks for taking part in the "Fish of the Week" game.

Stanley

A Schoolmaster Fish. Roger will fill you in on the details. Thanks Roger!

Hi Stanley

Something aint right here ? Your fish is not same colour as fish you are now showing. Is this how you try and bambuzzle me, change colours and call it something different. lol

Hi Barns, Reelfish and Everyone:

Hahahaha!! Haven't heard the term, "bambuzzle" since my hippie college days. You are showing your age!

Actually different fish, or I should say, the same fish takes on different colors according to their surroundings and the lighting used when the photographs was made. I did a bit of skin diving and under water photography with my son when he was young and I was amazed at the difference in color due to the light, depth and surroundings.

Here is the original picture from which I made the Schoolmaster. Should look pretty close to the one I did. Agree??

Young Reelfish is the winner this time around. You are tied a 4 apiece!

Stanley
