lead wire

Postby jbenenson » Wed Apr 11, 2007 12:49 am

One of the flies popular around the southern Rockies is the Renegade: streamer hook, brown aft hackle, peacock herl body, white or grizzly fore hackle. When you tie it in the real world, you add lots of lead (or lead substitute) wire. This would be a nice feature to add to the fly tying selection.

I found several patterns on the internet. I chose the Montana Renegade and the Super Renegade, I added lead wire to both patterns.
Here's the pictures:

I hope one of these is what you want, if not,...I'll tie you some more.

Thanks for the interest. I tied up a caddis nymph and discovered that you can add lead wire, so I tied the version of the Renegade that does so well here. I can't figure out how to load the image!

jb,
After you tie the fly, click ENTER on your keyboard, selection what pattern it is, (Caddis Nymph is your case), the click SAVE, then the fly is automatically saved in the game. When you fish, select NYMPH, and your fly should be there?
