Fireshot,

The demo version is limited, so not every thing ia availlable. If you buy the full version, you will get a new serialnumber which will remove the limitations
and let you play all options.

FireShot,

I was a little confused about this as well, you have to purchase a rod and lure before those options activate.

Yep, it is pretty hard to go fishing without a rod and some lures. lol

Not that it's a big chore selecting a rod and lure, but when people download a demo, they typically want to jump to the "front end" to try it out. Nobody cares about the "back end" (tackle, etc) if the game play sucks. Maybe a default rod and lure (instead of $50 cash) can be used for the demo mode.

Ron,

That's not a bad idea. One of the hardest things to do in a new game is to decide how much to include in the demo version. Give people too much and not many will want to buy the full version since they have enough fun with the free version. Hold too much back and they don't get a sense of what the full game will be like. I'm considering some tweaks to the demo version, and automatically starting you with a rod and a couple of lures is a real possibility.

Hi Paul,
Maybe something like:
1 Rod
1 Lure
$10 (just enough for a few more lures)

PS - Bait Shop Recommendations:
1. Camera Panning Nausea: A single camera panning of the Bait Shop (when you enter), then no more panning from one loation to another (just jump). Or use "First Person" movement.
2. Change the "look" to a log cabin.

OMG I so agree with this! The camera panning in the bait shop is downright aggravating. And yeah a default rod/lure combo to start would avoid confusion. I think a light spinning combo w/ inline spinner would be ideal for anyone.
