Paul,

I wonder if it's all XP users who have trouble on downloading/installing?
Or are there also Vista users who have same problem?

I'm using Vista Home Edition whith all updates (updates are installed every night when available).

I haven't had any trouble so far.
So maybe it is a XP compatibility problem.

Regards Richard

What are your system specs? Can you tell me the CPU speed, RAM, video RAM and video card model?

Thanks. For Rob and Gérald we can rule out video cards that can't handle it.

I'm working on a new build with a "safe mode". If it doesn't start successfully on one run it will automatically start in a safe mode the next time. That will include running in 640x480 Windowed mode with fairly low detail settings. If it gets through startup the game leaves behind a log.txt file which should help explain what's going on.

I'll have that safe-mode update out today. Hopefully it's something to do with the resolution the game starts in, being compatible with one piece of hardware but not another (like something your video card supports but your monitor doesn't or vice versa.)

You can download an update with a safe mode here:

http://www.vrsportfishing.com/vrsportfi ... te_006.zip

The first time you try to run it it's likely to have the same problem as before. The second time it will try to start in safe mode - low resolution windowed, low detail, etc. If that lets the game start please run it for a few minutes and then send me the log.txt file at paul@pishtech.com.

No go,tried as u suggested. One thing i noticed is this demo starts off in a smaller window then any of the other demos you have here. Possible this has something to do with it?

Here's another build for those getting the crash at start-up:

http://www.vrsportfishing.com/vrsportfi ... te_008.zip

It will create two diagnostic files: log.txt and debugfile.txt. Please send those files to me at paul@pishtech.com.

Thanks!
