New outing - Mullet Creek

Postby Hitman » Sat Sep 27, 2008 10:41 am

My new outing is finally complete. Had a computer crash so that made things a bit slow but here it is.
It's a brackish creek on the south coast of NSW, Australia. All the fish images have been taken by me so it's all original. Its an easy venue, just for a bit of fun really. The species in it are entirely new, as are 3 new food items/hatches (mullet, whitebait and green weed ) and a new fly imitating the green weed which is a big big part in one of the new species diets.
A big thanks to Richwest for helping me along the way and I hope you enjoy. There will be plenty more outings from me, its been fun making it.

Hitman,

Nice first try!!

Great new species, I added them o the species highscore list at the clubhouse already (with some quick scores of mine)

Tip, try to get a copy of nature illusion studio to add movement to your pictures, see video tutorial at the clubhouse to find out how to use it.

Keep going on, I'll be waiting for your next one.

Regards Rihard.

PS. offcourse I will add your outing to the next edition of the RWFF outings Picture Book

Looks sort of similar in shape to a barramundi but this ones not a tropical species. Its a type of perch native to here (not related to the perch you get over there though)
Popular species to fish for but it is protected in rivers and must be released, unless it is caught in a lake or dam, then we can take it home to eat.

Hi Hitman,

Nice outing :)

some tips more:

1. It's better to add some "CHALLENGE SITE FOLDER" into the outing.def, because it will shows an error, if people try to fish an challenge.
2. Also before you upload your public outing-version, you can delete mapbase.bmp, mapcur.bmp, mapdepth.bmp and all bak-files from every site-folder after the outing is compiled. But make a complete outing-backup before. These files are the biggest of outings and you will get a smaller download-file.
3. It's also a good idea to encrypt the outing, so that nobody can look about where and how many species are at which site.
4. You can also disable the cheatmode, if you want.

I knew to encrypt it, I must have forgot
I'll take this version off, and release the encrypted version and get rid of the mapbase and marcur. Thanks for the tips
