Dear fellow fishing friends,

Does anyone have problems on downloading the second Dutch outing on a
XP-machine?

I ask this because William Feltham is having trouble on download.

If anyone can help him out, please sent him a reply.

Regards Richard

Richard,

I can only suggest to use a installer. This should be avoid future install-problems.

Rich,

I'm having some download issues as well. I've started several downloads, but the furthest I get is around 8 MB and they die. I'm thinking it's just a slow server, or problem between here and there.

I'm trying it from work (where I have a direct 100 mb fiber connection to the Internet Backbone) and will see how it goes. If I get a sucessful download, I'll put a copy out on my server and post it for those who are having similar issues.

Hello All,

For those of you who may have had problems downloading and installing Rich's new outing, you can try an alternate download location:

Second Dutch Outing Alternate Download (Installer Version)

Good Luck!

OK, here is a new one...

Error: Supporting files have been corrupted
Please reinstall fly fishing simulator
(Only in the new outting every other one i've tested 3-4 of them works fine)

If I remove the new outting everything works fine. Gonna back up my custom flies and redownload the addons that I use (color picker and the additional strike indicators which may be a problem will try without first) along with all the other outtings, will let you all know how it goes.

FYI I have tried the original download which I got in full but took a long time so I thought maybe a corrupt file and then Dave's new installer.

EDIT: reinstalled RWFF and ran update to 119 tried to install and same error no custom flies installed or any other files other than the core ones and the update

Second Dutch outing

Thank you for the new outing Richwest--and thank you Dave for making it possible for me to download it!
One problem--I don't know if anyone else is experiencing this but while the water appears to be moving--it doesn't when a fly is cast on it! The fly just sits there! Is it just mine or are others experiencing this?

Carol,

I think that's because it's a pond with no wind........

They are lucky over there, the wind doesn't blow on days you want to fish!
