Flycatalogue updated to version 2.0

Postby richwest » Sun Jan 06, 2008 2:24 pm

Had a little sparetime so I updated the flycatalogue.

It has 485 flypaterns now.
I also added a legend, to see who created the flies.
File is now in PDF-format, and is now only 4.11Mb, so much smaller!

Hi Richard :)

A lot of work!

Beautiful, I like it. :D

I wished RWFF had a option to create custom boxes and we could order the flies like collect stamps in a album. :)

Thank you very much

Peter,

Maybe we can join our thoughts and createsomething for that?

I already made my own flybox in RWFF, with my avatar and name in it.

Yes, but unfortunately we can't use more boxes than the default in the game. I would like to select pre-collected boxes for different waters and/or put my favorit-flies into one of my personal box.
So we cannot do anything. Paul is claimed.

Pitti-

I really like the idea of having different boxes/collections of flies for different outings. It's just an idea but what about creating different folders which contain your selections. To take a certain collection to an outing one would copy/move that collection to the flies folder. This would involve having a seperate folder for the originals?

This is probably too much hassle, or i might have missed your point! Either way, I thought I would contribute my thoughts!

Hi Tony,

yes, this would be a way, but to move the flies every time if we want fish a different outing, seems a little bit boring. Also we had to exit and restart RWFF every time.

I wished that we could create custom boxes in the game, name it and move/copy flies between the boxes. Then we could click on "My Flyboxes" and select one of them.

Pitti-

This would be a nice addition to the game. I see that moving flies between folders wouldn't have quite the same effect!

Peter,

Nice going with that picture you made, i had something like that in mind too.

Maybe if Paul has some sparetime, he can make an adjustment like that in the future.

Selecting the right flies is a timeconsuming part in the game now (selecting the right one from about 500)
