Mending the line?

Postby Pitti » Tue Dec 25, 2007 9:44 am

Hello :)

Merry Christmas at all!

Have you ever tried to mend the line? Is it working for you?
I found that if I made a long cast and uplift the rodtip, the line is shorten out of scale to the rod-up-movement. So I can't find a way to mend the line.
How do you mend the line? Are you able to do it and how?

Merry Christmas Peter,

On a long cast, putting up the rod doesn't work for me either.
To take the fly back just a little, Ireel in ust one or two clicks
and then give back some line.

It works for me, most of the time!

Hi Richard,

Thank you :)

I did mean more if anybody is able to cast/lay a curve upstream without taking the full line out of the water, if the fly begins to drag.

Peter,
I have tried casting as you're suggested so the curve of the line is upstream from the fly, but so far have been unsuccessful. (so mending the line is not needed)

Hi Cutch,

Yes for catching the RWFF-fish mending the line is not needed, but it would be funny if we could do it. :)

I would also like it to cast more special-casts beside normal and rollcast.
Like speycast and snakecast or so..
