New update ready: Version 117

Postby paul » Tue Dec 04, 2007 4:05 pm

You can download the latest update to the Third Edition with this link: http://www.pishtech.com/rwffu117.zip

This fixes some issues with the score codes used for contests, adds fish lengths to 1/100th of an inch, solves the Alt-Tab bug, allows custom outing creators more control over fish feeding and the ability to disable cheating, etc. The full details are included in the read_me file in the update, and on the Pishtech downloads page.

Tight lines,

Paul

Hey Carpman, Boston Bob here. I enjoyed the "chat" we had last night. Did you extract all files to the RWFF folder? If so go into that folder and click on
RWFF_UpDATE. It will ask you if you want to update to version 117 and you say yes.

Thant's all it is to it.... Enjoy,
Boston Bob

Great work! Really like the fish length adjustments! This will help out a lot in future contests.

The wooden background for the caught fish name and length is gone. There wasn't room on the templates for the fish length with decimal values. If people really miss the wooden background I can add it back in. I'd need to rebuild the template images for each species, and everyone who has created new species would need to do the same. Or perhaps I can code it to generate an appropriate sized wooden background on the fly. That shouldn't be too hard. I'll put that on the list for 118.

Thanks!

Thanks Paul for your explanation, it's clear to me now.

Perhaps you could also convert lengths in metric for our European users in update 118 (just a wish)

Best regards Richard
