Calling all Fly Tiers in the Community!

Postby dcarp » Tue Nov 27, 2007 6:47 pm

Hello,

For those of you who don't follow posts in other categories on this forum, I have a special request:

Since we are entering that time of year when the nasty weather and limited hours of daylight keep us off the water and tucked safely in our homes, a lot of us spend more time at the flytying bench (or at the computer developing new outings and fish species).

For those of you who tie your own flies - we need your help.

We would like to add some "step-by-step" photo sequences and instructions for tying different types of flies to the RWFF Clubhouse Library Flytying Book.

If interested in participating, please see the post in the "Other" Forum Category HERE

Tight Lines.

Dave, count me in for tying step by step patterns, I have some already done, just give me the details of the picture size format etc.

Regards

Carpman,

I've been reducing the images down to 500x350 or so. It seems to be a good balance to show the detail, but small enough to keep the download times reasonable.

If you'd like, just send me the batch of images and tying instructions to my email address: dcarp@wvi.com.

BTW, we aren't related, are we???

Xavier,

I've updated the Flytying book in the Clubhouse Library to include the step-by-step photos and instructions for tying the Water Boatman. Look in the table of contents and select the "Nymph" chapter.

Thank you very much of the contribution to the Library and especially for the great pattern.
