Hi Badger:

Sorry I missed your post earlier. To answer your question re the tutorial in the Club House, it is still an excellent tutorial but some of the software mentioned are not longer available. The process is still the same. Working with the bitmaps and folders are still the same. Good luck with your outing creation! :P

Stanley

Hi Badger:

I don't mean to jump the gun on this. As I have said in my video, different outing creators have their own methods and this is a very good example. The reason I use the mapbase bitmap to draw the lines is because if I screwed up, or wanted to change the lines in someway (like reversing the current, changing the depth, etc) I would not ruin the mapcur and mapdepth bitmaps and have to start all over again. One could just work on the mapdepth and mapcurs bitmaps directly if you are sure of what you are doing. However, if you changed your mind on these maps then you have lines drawn on them already and you would have to upload the mapbase and do it and then save the changes as mapcur or mapdepth. It is just different way of doing the same thing. :P

I hope this helps in answering your question.

Regards,

Stanley

Hi Badger:

No wonder you have been unusually quiet. You have been building outings. Cool! :P

To get the Cheater feature you need to create a cheater account on the RWFF start page. Just create a new account and call it Cheater and click save. When you want to view your outing in Cheater mode you login as Cheater then the feature will be available. Click "1" on your keyboard to see the fish, click "2" to see the depth map, click "3" to see the current, etc.

Hope this answered your question.

Stanley

Hi Badger:

Did you configure the Cheater Mode correctly? Have a look at this picture. Click on "New User" and type in Cheater. No reason why your outing cannot be viewed in Cheater mode unless you inserted a line like: SITE FOLDERS=NO CHEATING into your outing.def

Image

Yes, you should take 6 frames if you made a video. When you start building the outing the compilation tool will only recognize 3 pictures. After you have done all the adjustments you go into each and every site.def file of each scene and type in the missing three pictures. Then it should work. :P

Hope this helps.

Hi Badger:

I don't notice anything unusual in your site.def. No idea why Cheater Mode would not work for you?? When you start RWFF in Cheater Mode, does your outing open for you?

Hi Badger:

In your previous post you said everything was ok. Then you said you still have problems? Can you please zip up your outing and send it to my email address. I will have a look at it and see what is going on. You should still have my email address. Hard to tell by just looking at the pictures.

Regards,

Stanley

PS. Did you create the b1 and b1ro bitmaps to replace those original ones in the main folder?

I notice in the above picture, his pictures for the outing say "site1 1, site1 2,etc". Shouldn't it be 1-1, 1-2, 1-3, etc? Or does it really not matter? If so, maybe that's the issue?

Hi Badger and Chuck:

Chuck, excellent eyes for details :P I believe it does matter. The software maybe confused by the way the pictures are named. Some people do it a little differently and name the jpg sequence simply "01, 02, 03". Other like myself like to add the site number before the frame number like, "1-1, 1-2, 1-3". Try deleting the "site" from your jpg sequence and see if it works. Please let us know the result.
