RWFF Color Picker

Postby Pitti » Mon Sep 10, 2007 4:11 pm

Hello :)

Today I have coded a simple Color Picker for RWFF. It can be used for changing the Rod - and Linecolors with 3 clicks. You have to copy it into your RWFF-Folder, and it should works. No installing necessary. :)
Of course, all without guarantee. Only for windows.

Please read the included text-file.

You can download it at the club-library (Click on "Downloads). Please let me know if it works for you like for me.

Visit the Clubhouse Refresh the screens.

Have copied the file into my RWFF file and tried to change the colour of rod and line but nothing happens. After I select the colours I want and save the file and then leave the folder when I return no colours are recorded.
Anyone any idea what is wrong with this?

Shanksi,

do you have the RWFF version 114 (build 70813)? You can check it at the menu screen of the game.

You have copy the picker.exe into the RWFF folder (it's the folder where you can find the RWFlyFishing.exe)?

If you have done all this, it should works.

Peter,
I have version 114 and have copied the picker.exe file into the RWFF folder but it still does not work. If I select a line and rod colour and exit the file and then return to the file the colour changes are not saved. I'm not very good when it comes to things like this as you can no doubt tell, myst be an age thing :D

Shanksi,

my last ideas:

You have restart RWFF after selecting and save the new colors?

You could test this:

1) Make sure that RWFF is not running.

2) Open windows explorer and find the RWFF Folder. Open the linecolor.txt via editor and write down the code on a paper. Exit the editor and let explorer open.

3) Start the color picker. Select both colors and click on "save".

4) Open again the linecolor.txt via editor and look at the color-code. It should be now the same the code as the code on the color-picker window and not the old which you have wrote on the paper.

5) Start RWFF and you should use the new colors.

Hi All

Sorry not been about, just passed my driving test, so i have been a very busy man, am back now though, :D

@ Shanksi
hi Shanksi you will find the colour picker folder in RWFF, when you open colour picker folder you will see the ICON for the colour picker, right click on that icon and then select copy, once that has been done go back to the RWFF where you files are, then right click on the white part of the folder then select paste. Once you have done that double click the icon to open he program and the rest is history. 8)

once you start the game after saving your colours you should see the colours you selected 8)

Happy Fishing all and its good to be back  8)

hello peter, thanks for the nice addition
:)

@shanksi:
i can help you, because i made the same mistake like you and it did not work

look:
your wrong path:
C/program files/pishtech/Real Wolrd Fly Fishing/RWFF color picker/rwff color picker exe

move the color picker exe to the folder "Real World Fly Fishing"
now the correct path:
C/program files/pishtech/Real Wolrd Fly Fishing/rwff color picker exe

now it will work

PS: you can also move the how to use file and delete the (empty) folder "RWFF color picker"

:)

TT,
Thanks very much for that, now working ok. Only problem might be stopping my son Josh from changing colours after every cast. :D

The color picker really works great and is easy to use. I always like Rods in a light color and Lines in Ivory ( most of the time). Great
Thanks
