Hi Pitti,
I saw there is a new patch in the download section but I have some question:
1) the build is greater (70716 and the previous 70713) but the file is named rwff111.zip (the last was rwff112.zip); probably the link is not correct
2) we have to use this one for the contest 3 or not (I saw it fixes a bug concerning crappies)

Waiting for your kind answer, thank you.

Ciao

Hi oppimax,

the current version is 113 build 070716.

Download it here:

Download V113

The download section must be updatet. But Paul starts his fishing trip tomorrow. So we have to be a little bit patient. :)

Dave, try it continuing. You can update your score till next sunday. :)

Pitti,

Thanks for the information. Still haven't caught a crappie yet, but maybe I missed an update or installed it wrong. I'll update to V113 and see if that works. Didn't realize I had until NEXT Sunday. Guess I should have read the rules more thoroughly....

Taupo_Tiger

You multiply by 10 if you haven't got a crappie..... I think.

Locations in a outing

Postby oppimax » Tue Jul 17, 2007 5:51 pm

Hi Pitti,
I don't know if it's a fault of my installation of RWFF or what! :? But....

If I see in the directory where I installed the game I can see, for a specific outing a certain number of locations; when I go fishing in this outing I can fish in less locations then I saw in the installation directory. :(

It's not related to the level you play; I tried Beginner and Expert, Cheater and Regular and is the same.

Have you ever noticed that? I'm wrong and I should re-install all the game? :?:

Let me know.

Ciao

Hi oppimax,

I had note this some times ago at older versions too and don't think that there is something wrong. But I'm not the programmer. Which outing do you mean? We could check on my maschine.
I think that it's not a problem. Perhaps Paul had a reason for skip some sites.

Hi Pitti,

1) Missing locations in a outing. :(

For example Dogwood River: I have 25 folders in the directory of this outing but I can fish only in 18 of them.

If you want I could send you a compressed file with my Dogwood's folder so you can compare it with your one.

Anyway I agree to wait for Paul to have an explanation of the problem.

2) Suggestion for the contest (next ones)

Could be interresting an intermediate classification (on wednesday for example) to assign a "plus score" (e.g. 30 points for the first, 20 for the second and 10 for the third) that will be added to their final score at the end of the contest.
That would keep alive the forum and anyone could verify wich is his own situation during the contest.

What do you think about? :?:

Ciao.
Massimo

p.s. today I'm in Milan: it's burning! 8)

Hi Massimo,

About missing dogwood outings. It's the same for me, so your installing is ok. We can Paul ask about it if he is return.

Your suggestion sounds very interesting. We'll think about it. Thank you.

Btw @ all: What you all think about the one week duration of the contests? Is this to long? Would it be better if contests like the current only takes 3 or 4 days? Perhaps only one weekend from Saturday till Sunday?
Please let me know it.

Regards
Pitti

Hi Pitti,

I think that the standard could be the weekly contest (who works has more days to play and try to win).

In between of those contest you could organize different types of contest (one or two days or something else) with differents scores than the standard ones.

To think about!
