Hey, all. It's finally the official release. This includes a few bug fixes and the latest minor changes (smaller line-out display, better range of rod control, etc.) If you've been testing the betas you won't see a lot different in this, other than some tweaks for performance and again, some minor bug fixes. Compared to the last official release this is a much bigger change though.
This build uses the InstallJammer installer, which is a lot more robust than my old installer. It will (by default) install to c:\games\vr sportfishing. The game (when launched by the shortcut) will now check your version of DirectX and if some of those pesky DLLs are missing it will automatically launch the necessary DirectX installer before starting the game. This should save some headaches.
Unless you install in a folder where the game is already located, you'll need to activate the game again. Either find the email with your activation code, or open the file pvrsa.txt in the old installation and copy the activation code from there.
Also, unless your saved games are from the latest beta build, it's a good idea to start a new game with the new build. If you do have the latest beta and want to continue those games, just copy the *.gam files from you old installation.
That's about it. I'm getting back to work on the fly fishing now.
Tight lines,
Paul
