Call me a geek but this would be cool!!!

Ever thought of adding other non lure taking fish, water birds and insects?
Many times when I’m out fishing i see a large unidentified fish and start frantically casting my lure at it only to eventually realise it’s just a massive Carp cruising by.
Also the larger predators should be attracted to the smaller fish as well as the lures! It would be great in the game to see a large pike strike at a nearby smaller fish.
Also simulate spawning activity and shoals of fry at the right times of year, so the fish in the game actually breed, reproduce, grow and die almost like a little virtual ecosystem going on. That way the fish population would be constantly fluctuating and never the same.

Most of it sounds great, but all carp are catchable with the right bait ;)

Also, it would probably be VERY hard for paul to create the animations for that, he is the only one working on the game, remember.

Welcome to the forums! Always good to see new people.

I don't think it would need any extra animation as it could just all happen naturally, so the smaller fish are just as attractive to the predators as the lure. And for the spawning thing all that is needed is for the fish to be in a certain area to simulate the activity, no extra animations needed.

They do group up in specific areas during spawning season ;)
