Hi all,

This evening, I had fun to create a lake,Image it is not perfect, it misses textures but I give it to you for the fun....Later I will make an update.

I put at it full of fish

The videos of Paul explain very well.

Congratulations on being the first to share a custom lake! It's a good start.

One warning about fish populations: The game has an internal limit of the number of fish it will have active at any one time, since having too many would slow the game down a lot. The limit is set at 1800 for an area around 300 feet square (at least that's the size in a standard 6000x6000 foot map). If the area you're in reaches the maximum then the ratio of different species will be off. For example, if the first fish you list is bluegills and they're so abundant that you get 1800 bluegills in an 300x300 foot area, the bluegills those alone reach the limit and there won't be any other kinds of fish in that area.

One way you could create a really extreme population without the limit getting in the way would be to make a 6000 foot map, but make the lake a tiny little pond, about 300x300 feet. Then put a total of 1800 fish in the pond and they should all be concentrated in that area. Maybe call it a fish hatchery. =)

Now that might be an idea, there's several people I know around here with large ponds on their farms stocked with catfish and maybe a few species of panfish. If you add a feature to the game where you could walk around and fish, that would be a great combination. No boat needed, just walk around a pond and fish.

I'm a little confused, how do you unzip a .rar file? I tried to open it dozens of ways but it seems my PC does not have a rar decoder or anything to do with rar files. what do I do? :?
