Graphics Card?

Postby Ron » Fri Mar 20, 2009 8:04 pm

Hi,
I would like to know what kind of graphics card I'd need to max out the graphics and use Vuzix VR920? I have a PCI Express ×16 graphics interface slot in my computer.

thanks,
Ron

Ron,

I use the VR920 on a laptop with a GeForce 8600M GT card. I'd suggest any nVidia GeForce card in the 8000 series or higher. Your CPU speed will also determine how high you can crank the settings. For instance, if you've got a screaming video card but a slower CPU the rendering of each object may go very quickly (done on the video card), but the overhead (done by the CPU) may keep you from getting a great frame rate if it's drawing many thousands of trees, etc.

Tight lines,

Paul
