Hey, folks. Here's another update. Make sure you already have the beta installed and this will fix the latest issues:

I'll post the full installer shortly (perhaps even tonight.) A full reinstall might clear up both of these cases.

The problem is that it's in French. How do you expect the computer to understand that?!

Paul,.

I got the same results as Geraldro.

When I replaced the first beta update files with the aecond update files the game refused to start and I got the same sort of error message.

When I reverted to the first beta update files the game went back to working.

Hard water and tight lines

I think I had the wrong version of one of the files in that last zip. I've uploaded the full installer and will post the link shortly. If you don't want to download the entire game you can now use this link to get all the changes made this year:

http://www.pishtech.com/PIFD_Update_112409.zip

Just unzip the file into the folder where the game is installed. If you haven't already done so you'll need to get the latest update of DirectX 9.0c from Microsoft.

Glad to hear it. I've just uploaded it with a single minor change: Now in simulation mode you start with $100. Without the other fishermen to help supply you with equipment with their trades I felt it was too difficult to get a good start. You can use the same link to get this change.

Please re-download, using the same link. The update from this morning didn't have the change. The later update with the same link does have it.
