Tiger Trout

Postby oxquo » Sun Oct 12, 2008 10:52 pm

I am wondering if this species is very popular in other places and how many or what kind of pictures I would need to make the specimen for an addon? This Brook trout/Brown Trout cross is very popular in a C&R lake by Us and has been caught just over 30" this year, My biggest was a 23.5" and what a vicious scrap. Said to be sterile, they are breeding indeed but the young either look pure brown trout or lack much of the initial hybrid coloration. Anyways, hybrid or not this fish is hard to pass over. It made My largest brown and bows feel like perch on the line in comparison. The snow has started to fall today so If I can get pics before freeze, I'd like to work on a Twin Lake MB addon this Winter and will be seeking plenty of help.Image this fish was only 22" and lacked the F1 coloration. Google image search brings up some nice colored tigers.http://www.facebook.com/photos.php?id=873540276#/photo.php?pid=3166214&id=873540276
