New Outing Sw Mattaponi River Virginia

Postby Scottish Warrior » Wed Jun 27, 2012 9:23 am

Hi All,
15th of 22.
The River is 103 miles long and is a Tributary of the York River.
It rises in 4 Streams, each of which is given a short piece of the Mattaponi Name.
The Mat and Ta Streams join to form the Matta,Po and Ni Streams join to form the Poni,
Then the Matta and Poni join in Caroline County to form the Mattaponi River.
You are fishing for Jumping Bowfin,Brookie,Brown Trout,Rainbow,Red Rainbow,Pike,
Plus Golden Trout,Walleye,Sauger and Saugeye.
Have Fun,
Martin.
