Biting frustration

Postby Striker » Mon Nov 19, 2007 1:50 am

O.k..I'm at my wits end. I've been trying to get the fish behavior the way I want it in my outing but for some darn reason it's almost impossible to get the fish to bite! I've put the 'selectivity' way down to 10..and I put the activity up to 100 but STILL it's like pulling teeth to get them to bite. Maybe one fish in 10 casts even on beginner setting and I know exactly where the fish are! What am I doing wrong? Can anyone tell me? What are the average settings I should be using to get these fish to bite as they would in one of the usual game outings?

Striker,

Here is the defult (I think)

ACTIVITY=50
SPOOKINESS=60
SELECTIVITY=50

How's your depth setting on each species? Are they hanging in really deep water? Might try shallowing them up a bit. Also, might want to check in a site folder and see if the fish.def files are being updated by your main fish.def file when you got through and adjust things.

It also might help to add a couple more of each species to each site. That worked for me. Just one or two fish seemed to make a difference.
