Gilchrist Creek Winter (new outing)

Postby Creek Fisher 13 » Fri Mar 09, 2012 9:09 pm

Hi Guys
Gilchrist creek is a small spring creek in northern Michigan and it is one of Michigan’s blue ribbon trout streams.
This is a special outing to me because it is my first outing and it is my home waters.
This little creek flows through my property behind my house and is home to a totally wild population of Brown Trout, you will also find a few Brook Trout and Rainbows. The Browns are very spooky just raise your eyebrows to fast and you will see them scatter, but if you present a fly just right you will see that they are eager for the take. This is winter so you will have to use mainly subsurface patterns. A nice 3 or 4 weight rod is about perfect for this stream.
The species you will be fishing for are Brown Trout, Jumping brown trout, jumping brown trout 2, Brook trout and Rainbow trout.
Make sure you wear your long johns because it’s going to be cold.
When you download the file unzip it and open up the folder, put the GP Gilchrist Creek winter folder in your outings folder.
You will also see a few sounds in the main folder, you probably have these sounds already but I cleaned these up a bit because they were a little noisy.
If you want them just put them in your sounds folder and replace the ones you have.
I also want to thank Stanley for all the help and tips he has given me.
I hope you guys enjoy my outing. Creek fisher 13

Hi Creek Fisher and Everyone:

That is an absolutely gorgeous outing and a fantastic one for your first effort. :P Seems all the guys on the Forum are enjoying it too and this is really great! I had the privilege of checking out your outing for you during its early stages of construction and I found your work immaculate and done with a great deal of thought and care. Congratulations!

When the snow goes away in a few short months please go out and take some pictures of your local fishing waters and make them into outings for all of us to share on RWFF. We will look forward to seeing some more great outings from you soon!

Best Regards,

Stanley

Thanks Guys I'm glad you are enjoying my outing. I had alot of fun learning how to create it.
I plan on creating a Gilchrist creek summer outing and a few more outings of other streams by my house, I just need things to thaw out alittle first.
