New Outing Sw Wiinipeg River Kenora Ontario

Postby Scottish Warrior » Mon Sep 05, 2011 11:03 am

Hi Fisherfolk,
When Boston Bob asked me to do an outing for him from "The Lake of the Woods" Area in Minnesota,
little did he know "what a can of worms he had opened" with 10 Outings arising from this request as one leads to another, through Ontario,Manitoba and into Minnesota.
With Bob's help I have started at the Winnipeg and will work towards Minnesota over the next 10 Outings.
Running along it's Course into the Lake of the Woods it is 146 miles long from Kenora to it's mouth at Lake Winnipeg.
The River's name means "Murky Water" in the "Cree Language" and has been used by Natives for Thousands of Years and became a Major Fur Trade Route.
You are fishing for Jumping Black Crappie,Smallmouth Bass,Pike,
Plus,Lake Trout,Lake Sturgeon,Lake Whitefish,Pike,Muskie,Black Crappie and Perch.
Have Fun, Regards Martin.
