Postby Bubba_Da_Man » Thu Jul 07, 2011 5:44 pm

Hi,

I would like to create my own outings but do not know how.

Could someone please explain the steps in how to do this?

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You,

Hi Bubba,
Welcome to the Forum.
To start with go to the Clubhouse and download the RWFF Outings Creation Kit from the menu on the left hand side,
this is the best guide and gives you all the Information you need to get started.
I am sure others will help you along the way, but this will get you started.
Regards Martin (Scottish Warrior)
I am so glad to be part of this

Okay,

I downloaded the file and I started creating my outing.
I am now at the compiling step and I get a message telling me to check the current and depth mapbase.
What am I suppose to check and how am I supposed to change the files.

If anyone could help me, I would appreciate it.

Thanks,
Bubba

Hi Bubba:

Yellowstone7 here. A big welcome to our Forum and the fascinating world of outing creation. I just tried opening the link to "how to create outings" with the Google Chrome browser and it would not work....only showed a blank white square. However, when I tried it with Internet Explorer it worked ok. Give this a try and see if you can see the tutorial with IE. Hope this helps. :P

Okay thanks, that worked.

I couldn't get it to work before because I was using the 64-bit version of IE.
It only works on the 32-bit version.

Thanks again,
Bubba

Hi Bubba:

Glad you got it working now. I am using 64 bit IE and don't have any problems. Check you computer settings for backwards compatibility. :P

Okay,

I followed the steps in the tutorial all the way to the part where you're supposed to open the outing tool.
I open the outing tool and I click on my new outing, click yes to compile and it says compiling site site01.
It stays on this screen for a few seconds then closes with the error message "gr has stopped working".

Any idea on how to fix this.

Thanks,
Bubba
