Opening downloaded files

Postby plantlife7 » Sat Sep 20, 2008 1:52 pm

I am running the third edition (build 70310) on my laptop using Vista Home Premium. Everything runs perfectly but I have a problem updating the programme from your download site.

I can download to my desktop the appropriate zipped file, after trying numerous ways to open them but without success. I have tried double clicking and using the open command only results in the screen flashing, I have no "extract all" on the drop down menu on my desktop.

Please can you advise on this problem.
Thanks. Jean

Running and playing RWFF on Vista has some tricks to do.

You have to install the files to a folder in the root of your harddrive, so do not install it by default.

Create a folder like C:\jean\rwff for example and install the game there.

Then you have to update to version 120 B.80328

Downloading the files, you have to download to the download-folder in your user-profile.
Then copy the zipfile to Real World Fly Fishing folder.
Then unzip the file and copy the extracted files to the appropriate folders.

This should do the trick!
