How to avoid the smell on my clothes when I go fishing?

Postby NickFury » Sat May 26, 2018 7:48 am

Hi,

I practiced fishing as a leisure for a long time now. I started when I was young with my dad and uncle. Back then I can remember how smelly we were when we came back home after fishing.
I love fishing but if could avoid to smell the fish for hours after it, I think I would like it better.
What do you guys do about this issue? How do you avoid to smell to get into your clothes? Is there any specific material that is recommended for fishing clothes in order to avoid this inconvenience?

Please help.

I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.

Thanks

I've been fishing for sometime and yeah I smell fishy. I soak all clothes with detergents and take a long bath. Tree and Shrub Care

Just go shirtless and apply sunscreen or sunblock.

There are some simple home remedies that are easy and cheap, but be aware that a serious odor problem can take a little time and might require repeated treatments. Visit

It may help to have special clothes for fishing, and always take them off after fishing. Then wash regularly, soak them in detergents and have a bath after fish all the time. Basically, some basic hygiene will do the trick. Just take it up a notch and you will be fine. :)

It's something you can't avoid. I bring an extra set of clothes, maybe even two sets, every time I go fishing. That's the only workaround I can think about when it comes to my clothes getting smelly.
