Caught my first Tarpon

Postby richwest » Wed Jan 14, 2009 6:21 pm

Hi guys,

Reelemin and Scottish Warrior have been asking me about the catchability of Tarpon in Florida Keys Outing.

Well I just fished it for the first time and guess what, after several casts, I got a big bite and some minutes later I was able to land my first Tarpon.

So it is proven that they can be caught.

Dan,

I will give you a little hint.

Get a big minnowtype streamer of the right color, heavy gear (12 weight rod and 0x leader)
An awfull lot of patience, if you want to enhance your chance to get one, fish beginner mode.
At expert mode it is almost impossible got get one on because they are very selective and easily spooked.

Well, this was no small tip after all.

Good luck and don't forget to reinstall the Tarponfile to get real good humping Tarpon.

Awaiting your scores.

Regards Richard

Dan,

If your caught screen is showing, press CTRL PrtScr

leave the game and start your photoeditor.
(I'm using Coreldraw or Photo paint)
Insert the picture from the clipboard and save it as a jpg image (if possible resize it to 800x600)

Then upload the picture to a serverlocation like fileden.

Copy the url of the picture and paste it to your forumpost using the Img-button.

Success, Richard
