Mystery Trout Found...Can You Identify It?

Postby Yellowstone7 » Wed May 11, 2016 4:49 pm

Hi Everyone:

Several years ago Roger and I ran a weekly fish guessing game and received a lot of interest and support from our members. However this kind of fizzled out with time and we ran out of rare fish to stump our more knowledgeable members. Tonight I found a very rare fish and I am posting it for you to identify. Can you tell me the name of this fish? It is as rare as it is beautiful.

I think Roger will like this one and will be able to add it to his collection of rare trout. 8)

Hi Everyone:

Since no one seemed to want to take a shot at guessing this fish, I will let the cat out of the bag. It is the very rare and beautiful "Aurora Trout" found in only few remote parts of Eastern Canada. It looks almost like a Brook trout but the pots on the body and the coloration is a little bit different than the Brook trout we know.

Here are some pictures of the Aurora Trout"

I should have this fish ready in a couple of days and you will be able to download it in the Development Forum.
