Galltin River Challenge

Postby Yellowstone7 » Mon Sep 14, 2015 12:25 pm

Hi Everyone:

Just to get things going, I thought I would post a score of the Gallatin River Challenge for you all to beat. The tackle I used was 9 ft rod, 5 weight line and 4X leader. The Challenge was done in Experienced Mode. Of course you can use either dry or wet flies at your own preference.

The light tackle here will give you maximum enjoyment as the fish sizes are not very large. You will need to spend a little time finding your fish in some of the scenes. You will also need to make all kinds of casts, long ones, short ones, cross current, down stream casts etc. Use your own fishing knowledge and cast to likely holding spots.

I have fished this outing several times and I thought it was fun as it almost duplicates the real fishing conditions found on the Gallatin River and the size of fish are quite realistic. More like what you would expect to catch in a good day's fishing. Please give this a try and post your Challenge Scores here for everyone.

Good luck and tight lines!

Regards,

Stanley
