New Record...I can't believe this!!

Postby Yellowstone7 » Thu Jun 13, 2013 5:14 pm

Hi Barns and VFFL flyfishers:

"Soreeeeeee!!" Uncle Barns, I got lucky tonight and finally finished the Challenge even though it took me over an hour to do it. Patience and luck finally paid off and I ended up with a good score for you to shoot at. Yes, the bar has been moved up a little higher but I know it is possible to beat this score. You guys will have more than one week's time to do it. You'll have to start fishing pretty hard now!

Like I said before Martin did an excellent job selecting the scenes for this outing and it is a delight to fish. Thanks Martin!

One of my favorite scenes, the record and caught code.

Regards,

Stanley

Stanley: Very Nice indeed. That will get Barnsie fishing hard for sure.

I'm not stopping either. Just got skunked on site 14, lost two big fish.

There was no chance to better my score so I ended it. But I try again.

Nice work,
Boston Bob

Congratulations Stanley

Knew you and a few others would finally do it. Well Done, just wait buddy i would love to sorreeeeeeeeeeeeeeee buddy, but not going well tonight. Start well then end up losing these damn Jumping fish after 20mins. Then something small comes along.

Even our Bob is doing well in this comp and doc keeps threatening me about the 8000 score coming, so looks like i have my work cut out to try and stay even in 2nd spot.

Once again congratulations.

Hi Stanley and Everyone,
Stanley your scores have been verified and will post on Vffl Score Sticky. Excellent job. So far the best I could do was a 6565, not worth posting. Going to have to really push it to beat that one. Again excellent score . Roger

Hi Barns and Everyone,
It looks like we got some hot competition going on here. Congratulations on a fine score. All Fish and Challenge Score has been verified. Come on everybody, it looks like this is a two man show. Yes, I know kick me in the rear and get me going too. Good luck everyone, I think we'll be needing it.

Hi Guys:

This is getting really exciting! I have a feeling it will be a tight race to the finish!

Barns...congratulations on a fantastic challenge score. That is some great fishing you've done and i'd bet it took you a few tries to get that. The CL Blue eye minnow works great, heh? A job really well done!

Doc, I don't know how you did it but you came up with an absolute jumping, hissing, snarling monster of a fish. CONGRATULATIONS! That one will be very hard to beat, but knowing us we will try very hard to do it.

It has been a really fun tournament so far but a couple of Dark Horses are still out there chomping at their bits. Badger is on vacation at the moment but I am sure he will try his best to beat the scores when he finds some kind of internet connection. C'mon Chuck and Roger, we know what you are capable of so buckle down and do your stuff! Kick, Kick, for Roger, that is what you asked for! Chuck, learn to say NO to the GL and spend an evening fishing. Sometimes you have to brush them aside so a man can do his thing!

Keep those great scores and pictures coming in.

Regards,

Stanley

Looking good, guys! I, unfortunately, am on the road for the duration. If I can get some time on the net book, I might give it a little go. Chuck, I'll be scouting Little Genessee Creek in Bolivar in a few days!
Someday, we'll get back to Yellowstone. . .

Bolivar in Allegheny County, huh Anguis? NICE! You'll be in my neck of the Woods!! Now are you scouting Little Genesee Creek or the Genesee River? In the Fishing forum, you'll see a thread from me called "Rushford Lake -Night Fishing for Walleye". Rushford Lake is also in Allegheny County, and close by is also Cuba Lake, Harwood Lake, Case Lake, and Silver Lake. Ishchua Creek also runs through there and is terrific year 'round for trout. Look them up, take a little trip, and enjoy WNY for your stay here! Maybe if you gimme a shout, I'll come on down and throw a few lines with ya!!
