Hello Everyone,

I'm glad you're enjoying the new river. In my haste to get it out there, I didn't think of all the possible issues that have been raised regarding the files not being encripted. I think that feature is a must.

Also in my haste, I forgot to remove the "recrods" from all my testing. I'm so embarassed. Please forgive this amatuer mistake!

installing Breit Bush and 115

Postby nccorthu » Sun Nov 04, 2007 9:37 pm

I had some problems installing the 115 upgrade. Had to download it 2's and then when I used winzip it was set to not to ovewrite existing files result was that it would not run the update.exe .

Be sure to Make sure that the 115 upgrade is expanding all the files to OVERWRITE the old files.
Two, be sure to run the Update.exe file.

Then the Breitenbush river Outing wil RUN MAGNIFICENTLY.

For the members to make up our own outings will really add to this. We'll probably have so many that we won't know where to go.

Beautiful place to fish! Is anyone else experiencing this problem? I periodically get a phantom square on the screen. Also, a couple of times the square appeared over a caught fish. When that happened, the square was quite clear and it was a fly box with the hands and the pointing finger. Each time the "hands and box" appeared over a caught fish, my computer crashed. Any suggestions?

Hi folks,

I've gone in a cleaned up a few things and uploaded a newer version of the outing. I removed the "records" files this time and cleaned up a few of the outing pictures to remove floating leaves that were very annoying (thanks Cutch for the suggestion!)

Keep in mind - you need to extract the zip file to the "outings" folder (C:\Program Files\Pistech\Real World Fly Fishing\outings\). There are also two sound files that need to be moved to the "sounds" folder (C:\Program Files\Pistech\Real World Fly Fishing\sounds\).

My apologies - if I was more computer savy, I would be able to figure out how to make this zip file extract and install everything to the right place

The link in the first message in this thread will take you to the new zip file.

To get all the files into a zip file that puts them where they go, all you need to do is this:

Someplace other than in the game folder:
Make a new folder called "sounds" and put your news sounds in it.
Make a folder called "outings" and put your new outing folder in it.
Make a new zip file and drag and drop the sounds folder and outings folder into it. Now people can just unzip into the game folder and it will put the files where they belong. 8)

:D now that I finally got into it, (with a lot of help!) the new place is a beautiful place to fish!
Thanks a lot, Dave! :D
