Putting on my waders. Peter, we expect to see you and Dave on the stream. (Stay out of my fishing area or you might get a fly snapped off in your britches.....LOL)
Thanks Bobcat for the very nice winner's prize :!:

Hello Everyone,

I was out on the Hast bright and early this morning. You all must have headed for the Coggins and Ebony. Better watch out, I've got some lunkers in my kreel!

big fish!

That's a beautiful brookie, Taupo! Congratulations!
Biggest one I've caught was 13"and I thought he was something!
It's fun to challenge yourself for a certain fish! I have been trying to catch the biggest brown on a dry fly that I could and last Tuesday I caught one 29"! Last night--one 28"!
This is a great game to challenge yourself with!
Fly fishing is not a matter of life and death--it's more important than that!

Well it was a hard 3 days on the water but I think I came away pretty happy.
I've decided that my favorite river of the game now is the Ebony River. I love the colour of the water and the gorgeous scenery, not to mention how great the sites were. I love a river with lots of rocks and nooks and cranny's that make you think hard before you cast your fly. I think I'm going to try and plan myself a trip down that way!
My biggest fish I believe was an 18 inch Smallie from that river. Man what a fight! I thought it was a big Steelhead when I first hooked it before I realized there were no Steelhead in that river. Great stuff!!

Good luck to all and I look forward to sharing a cold one with you back at the lodge when the winners are announced :)

Hello Striker,

I've got to agree with you. Of the three rivers in this weeks contest, the Ebony is my favorite too. There's some big fish in those first few holes. I was like you - the first big smallie I got in to made me think of a steelhead.

Doubt I'll ever get there in real life, but that's one of the great things about this game. We get to fish wherever we want without leaving home.

BTW - what's the name of that fly you're using as your avator?

See you at the Clubhouse at the end of the week.

Hi Dave,

Yeah I don't think I've ever caught a smallie bigger than 8 or 9 inches in my life so it is fun to play around with bigger ones here!

I'm actually not sure what that fly is called. I found the avatar on a random site and liked it so I used it. It seems to me to be just an artistic impression of a fly. I've never seena fly with wings tied quite like that. Although it could be some kind of antique pattern.
