fly suggestions for winter streams

hey just got the demo but need flies for the cold streams and deep holes. Please reply!

a yellow and red lure is always good for 16-18'' in the winter ones

Nymphs are always a good bet for trout in cold water. The bead-head ones sink well, but you can always add split shot to sink them faster. Combine that with a strike indicator a couple feet up the leader and you should be ready to go. Streamers like the Mickey Finn will catch some fish and maybe some larger ones, but for numbers of fish I'd go with nymphs.

Of course the full version gives you a lot more flies to pick from. =)
