Redfish Waters outing by Richard and Lee, nice!

Postby Yellowstone7 » Sat Mar 07, 2009 8:14 pm

Hi All:

Richard just posted a really nice outing. It is called Redfish Waters and can be found in the Developement section. This outing has all the tricks of V.125 beta, including custom flybox, special fly for the outing, food and some very finicky and difficult to catch Redfish, a new species for RWFF. I just downloaded it a couple of hours ago and had a great time trying to catch a large Redfish. After a little while experimenting with flies, depth and such I got lucky and came up with this great fish. :D :D Thanks Richard and Lee for yet another great outing for our beloved program.  Told you I love challenges. :D

I feel kind of guilty catching all these fish while Richard, Barns and Alvaro are working their b**ts off producing outings for us. Maybe I will need to slow down a bit, hehe :D :D

Cheers,

Stanley

Well here is my personal record on Redfish

Image

On a new crappie patern fly, which I already sent to Martin, so he can have a headstart for Brian and Slanley, for it is a real killer.

First attempt from me ended with a broken line and lost my precious fly.

In a few day I will give it free to the rest of you

So Martin come on let them see what's it worth.

Regards Richard

Hi Richard:

Sorry to tell you, you are only half a day ahead... :P :P I woke up from my nap and opened up the Forum and saw your post. Very impressive I thought, and a very nice fish. I then decided to tie a fly for the Redfish outing. On my first cast I caught a 26 inch fish, then this. :D :D :D Looks like I too have a killer magic fly for your finicky Redfish! :P :P :P

I will send Barns this fly so he can catch a big one. He is great at catching big fish.... so... the game is on!! :P    Hahahahaha!

Regards,

Stanley

Hi Richard

Stanley is letting us down    Where's his big fish.

I caught this one in beginner mode on 3x on my own new fly, which seems to be catching redfish almost every cast.
But at moment i'm not sharing fly until i get that record. :D :)

Hi Guys:

Good catch, Barns, almost there :D :D :D I was fishing for Nile Perch for a little while, The record seems pretty hard to beat. Lots of fun with the Nile outing, 35 scenes in all... that is a lot of fishing. Biggest one I got was "only" 45.42 inches. The sights are set pretty high these days. LOL :P :P I remember when a 28 inch Brown Trout was considered a trophy fish. By the way, thanks for the outing you made for me. There are so many outings to fish now it get a little hectic.

I will get back to catching that big Redfish after I worked on my wife's computer. She is going Vista and it is driving me nuts setting it up for her. Still like XP. :D Spent the last 8 years learning about it and it is pretty robust. Good job, guys... keep the big fish coming. :D :D

Regards.

Hi Barns:

Congratulations!!!!!! Can always count on you to come up with the winner... :D :D :D While you were having so much fun catching the record fish I was scratching my head over my wife's new computer with Vista in, my god, Chinese Big 5 language. I am decently savvy with computers but the computer terms in Chinese got me thoroughly confused and frustrated.  Anyway, everything is installed and running smoothly now and she is happy... maybe I will get some time to catch a record Nile Perch now?? :D :D Must be a great fly that you tied. Should auction it off at EBay, hahaha.

Regards,

Stanley

Hi Richard /Stanley

When you tie a fly, where does it go, which folder so i can send you this fly.

Stanley remember that olive fly you tied, try changing it to blue. That will get Richard.

Hi Barns:

You are the undisputed champ of the Redfish!! That is unless Richard comes up with a perfect score! Hehe. :D :D :D When you tie a fly it goes into your :C:\Program Files\PishTech\Real World Fly Fishing, flies folder. If you want to post it you make a zip file and upload it in rapidshare, or fileden, or similar free file sharing servers. Would love to see your match winning fly. :D :D :D Actually I tied a couple of new Crappie flies but I won't need it now. Your record will be very hard to beat!

Been fishing the Niles outing. It was fun but very long. I think 35 scenes in all. Best I did the first time around was a 48.11 inch Nile Perch. Still way short of the maximum. When I have more time I will work the beat again and see if I can improve. :P :P

Maybe Richard will produce another fun, and short and difficult outing for us to fish. Thanks Richard, no matter who won this was a week of great fun for all of us. I really like this outing with the variety of surfaces, current flow and the active Crappies in the water. Very lifelike! Too bad Alvaro didn't join in. Better tell la esposa to go and visit her mother for a while. :D :D

All the best,

Stanley
