Have you downloaded and fished Geraldro's new outing, "Lac Des Settons"???...I liked the captioned picture so I downloaded it and gave it a try. Was I taken aback and surprised!
I expected the usual Geraldro style, beautiful photographs (a lot of those he does himself), great fishing sites and wonderful dry fly action with light tackle. I wasn't surprised when I saw the first scene. Beautiful landscape, placid and smooth water with a few fish busily dimpling the surface, tempting me to use a dry fly. The usual excellent Geraldro creation. Ahhh... you wait, there is more. There is no end to the old master's sense of humor and trickery!
As I went along and caught some fish, mostly Crappies. I caught big ones, little ones, intermediate ones and an occasional brook trout. Then I saw this. What the hell? Who painted Stanley's name in France??? That is pretty odd but I know there are some Stanleys living in France so this must be a coincidence. I caught a couple of crappies and went to the next scene.

A couple of scene later this turned up. I swear I know those guys but what are THEY doing in France? I was a little confused but managed to land two more crappies.

Seems Old Barns and Martin were there too, armed with orange colored paint!
To make a long story short I caught some more crappies. I swear I have now caught the entire crappie family, grandfather, mother, daughter and some juvenile sons. I went around the corner and saw the Master himself.

I don't know if Geraldro did it intentionally but there were no fish visible anywhere in this scene. Maybe he wanted to make it very difficult, befitting someone who is known to be a difficult outing master. I made five or six passes with my trusty ant imitation and no takers. So I went subsurface with a nymph and bingo, I had a hard strike! I was expecting a big shark from the "Endless Teeth" outing, (that would have been a big surprise and would have broken my dainty 8 foot rod), but hell no, I caught more of the crappie tribe.
Geraldro, you have shown a great sense of humor and I appreciate this very much. I think this world is already too serious for most of us old timers and this hit the funny spot perfectly. Goes to show you that the versatile RWFF Outing Tool is more than something you create serious outings with. It is a canvas for all kinds of expression and can reflect the inner humor and qualities in each creator. I salute you for doing something very special!
Aside from the above your outing is beautifully made with just the right kind of fishing to have lots of fun with. Thank you for a great outing.
Regards,
Stanley
